Amplitudes in Spectrum mode - 6.6.46.1

Post by wk_emc »

Hello,

There seems to be a difference in amplitudes between scope and spectrum mode.

=> use demo mode with signal source 1V sinus 1MHz, offset 0V

Amplitude measured in scope-mode 1V peak - as expected

Switching to spectrum mode: Amplitude at peak: 653.8mV
All the other available logarithmic units (dBV, dBm@600Ohm, dBm@50Ohm) in spectrum mode are derived from this
lower value.

653.8mV seems close to Ueff=UPeak/SQR(2) which would lead to 0.707V
Is it a bug, or are the peak values intentionally not available in spectrum mode?

Regards

Martyn
