Picolog CM3, unusually high reading

Post by smaier69 »

Greetings!

Received our new CM3 today and got it set up at our breaker box/panel. All works as expected except Channel 1 is reading an extremely wrong number. Like, 1800 to 1900 amps. It's sampling, but this is a 208VAC, 100A building feed with 100A fuses before the breaker box/CM3, so I'm pretty sure that reading is a little off. The other 2 channels read and sample properly.

I have tried power cycling the CM3 (it's being powered via USB off a 110v -> USB device charger. I have also tried swapping clamps to see if the clamp was the problem with no change. I am not 100% certain, but I thought in one of my trips back to the computer taking readings (I was trying positioning the clamps in different ways to see if that helped) but when I went back to put the panel plate back on and walked back to the computer, it was back to being very off on Channel1.

Anything I could try to see if it can be resolved?
