Noise Level Monitoring on HVAC Unit / Output Type

Post by Guest »

I have a two part question regarding the DrDaq Data Logging Sensor Board...

1. I am trying to measure the overall vibration level of a HVAC unit on the roof of an office building via analog and without any memory (the wireless transmitter has a sampling rate of every 3 seconds) - so I'm assuming that a noise/sound level sensor would be appropriate for this application: would the DrDaq noise sensor support this frequency? (It sounds like a low hu)

2. I need to plug this into a wireless transmitter, not into a computer. What does the output interface look like? How many pins and what does each pin correspond to? Or can I manually wire out just the noise sensor?

TIA.

Hi,

Thank you for your questions.

The DrDaq and its Microphone can be used to measure frequencies upto 5kHz bandwidth on the spectrum. However, the microphone is likely to pick up all surrounding noise as well.

Unfortunately, we will not release the PIN set of the DrDaq as it is against company policy.

Best regards,
Regards,
