Picoscope 2203 - Incorrect Reading

Post by gsbox »

I have a Picoscope 2203 and it seems the readings from both the input channels is wrong.

To test the module, I connected one input probe to the signal generator on the same device. I generated a square/sine/triangular wave with different amplitudes but the input probe could only show a distorted square wave and an awfully distorted sine/triangular wave (not recognizable). The amplitude of the signal generator was 1V peak to peak and yet the input probe read only around 50~100mV.

I tested the input probe by connecting it to a power supply ~10Volts ( connected both positive & ground in all the cases) but still in Picoscope 6 (using the latest version), the input channel shows only around 100mV.

What could be wrong here?

Try connecting the awg ouptut to the input channel using a bnc to bnc cable, not a probe. If this still only shows low level noise contact support@picotech.com to arrange for the scope to be checked over.
