4227 grounding

Post by BSI »

Hi,
I am looking for clarification on how the grounds are connected internally in the Pico 4227.

From testing the grounds on channel A and B ( when the scope is off), it looks like both channels' grounds are connected to each other.

So does it mean that :
1. when I am acquiring from both A and B simultaneously, both grounds are identical, and as a result, the two devices connected on each input have a common ground?
2. When A is on, and B is turned off: are the grounds of both channels still common or not ?

Thx.
Laurent

Hi Laurent,

It is a common ground for both channels, even if both channels are off or on.
