Starter problem with scope view

Post by AlexG »

Hi, I am a new user to picoscope. I am using a PS6407.

Currently I am using latest Beta of PS, similar result in release version.

My current setup: PS6407,
AWG set at Square 1Mhz Amplitude 1V Offset 0.
TA101 Is connected to the output of Awg , and than connected to:
TA061 On Channel A.

At first I thought that AWG output is incorrect, but with an analog oscilloscope, output is a perfect rectangle (at the end of T101).

I have attached what I can see at the moment. If I enhance the resolution oscillations clear out and the triangle gets rounded. If i use filtering same result as resolution enhancement

On the Picoscope i cannot see a rectangle. Please suggest what am I doing wrong? Is it my probe setup?

You can't connect the TA101 to the AWG output as it is a x10 probe and will not work in reverse. Try carefully touching the center of the AWG connector with the TA061 probe and see if you get a square wave.

Martyn , Thank you... this was my problem. please close this thread.
I wanted to remove TA101 but didn't have at hand any other compatible BNC probes as I thought it would not work in reverse, Therefore i measured it with an analog oscilloscope at tips of 101 (101 connected to AWG) and the square was there.
