MAT file export - time units

MAT file export - time units

When exporting to MAT files there are the variables - Tsart and Tinterval.
What units are they in?

OK - I think I figured it out
Tstart and Tinterval - they seem to be in seconds. I used a hex editor to find the values and used a binary to double converter. Please confirm that my assumption is correct.
The Length parameter seems to be the number of samples - please confirm.

still have problem with the voltages which I posted separately.

Having loaded a couple of test files, the range is set in Volts - if you have seen something different please send in your .mat files.

Tstart and Tinterval are defined in seconds.

One way to confirm this is to multiply Tinterval x (number of samples in a single waveform - 1) and this should give you the total time in a single waveform capture. E.g. with a 1 kHz sinewave and 500us/div timebase in PicoScope 6:

3.2e -7 x (15630 - 1) = 0.005 ms

Thanks you,

Will check again the voltage issue, since my impression was that the values read from the MAT file did not correspond with those displayed when I looked in PicoScope at the psdata file.
