Are you looking to use PicoScope 6 to measure the amplitude or width of a pulse within PicoScope 6 or are you looking for a function in the SDK to do this?
I'll measure the pulse wave (square wave) with PicoScope 6.
I want to count the number of pulses in a certain time range.
In the figure below, there is 19 pulse.
It is difficult to count by manually operating because there are hundreds of pulses in actual measurements.
Let me know how to measure.
We don't yet have a pulse count function, but there is a sort of workaround. Add a 'Frequency' measurement between rulers and then multiply that by the delta between the rulers. E.g. if Frequency = 1 kHz and Delta is 167 ms, then number of pulses = 1000 x 0.167 = 167. This may not be ideal but it is better than counting manually.
I'll ask the software engineers to put a pulse count measurement on their to-do list.
I agree this would be a really useful feature. Is it possible to let us know (via email) when this feature has been added to a Beta version?
Will it be possible to configure the level at which the count is incremented. For example, you might have a signal which isn't passing through ground or the trigger level and you want to count how often it goes through 2V or some other arbitrary voltage. Being able to configure whether this count is increment on a rising, falling or both edges would also be very useful.
