?Using TA041 Differential voltage probes with ADC-24

Post by ansbergs »

Just want to clarify how to hook the TA041 differential probe up to the ADC-24. Despite the name, I do not need to use it in differential mode, I can hook it up single-ended, correct? The differential processing is happening within the probe and it is outputting a signal voltage that the ADC-24 will read as single-ended?

(I hope this is not a totally dumb question but I am going back and forth on this with a technology expect in my group and I want to verify to be sure).

The TA041 is designed to be used with a scope input, you can still connect it however, you would have to adapt the BNC connector to give you two wire outputs. The TA041 is a differential probe, one thing I will say is that the ADC24 is a slow logging device.

How often do you wish to sample?
How long do you want to sample for?
What is the minimum and maximum voltage you want to measure?
What is the minimum change in voltage you want to measure?

Kind regards
