Roll mode or timebased buffer

Post by Wolfgang Fischer »

I would like to have the following modes:
- a "roll mode" to continously update the PC-display with fastest possible transmission rate through USB.
- Consecutive timebased waveforms in the buffer. If the buffer is cannot be updated without time gaps, then a least a consequtive time stamping is shown on the x-axis.

Hi Wolfgang,

I have answered your questions on the helpdesk, however for everyone's benefit you can achieve roll mode when device is operating in streaming mode. To achieve this you need to do the following:

1) Get unit to be in streaming mode 100ms/div or slower by default
2) Use a repeat trigger
3) Move the trigger level so that it never triggers.

The device will operate like a roll mode.

Kind regards
