How to Trigger on specific edge duration?

Post by bane »

Hi,

I have PicoScope 4424.

We have a scenario where we have to trigger on falling edge.

The first voltage threshold is at 12V and second is at 2V.

The time duration between these two thresholds varies from 2µs to 10µs.

The trigger should fire in case of 2µs edge duration only.

Kind regards,
Bane

Hi you cannot have edge triggering of different levels with respect to time. The only way I can think of it being done is if you had a longer timebase and just capture the both events perhaps mask testing can also help. Have a look at this video and see if it helps.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards

On second thoughts one of my colleagues has pointed out a window drop out trigger may be helpful, this somehow this passed me by!

You can setup 2 trigger levels with your window, one at approximately 12V and one at approximately 2V, then you can set it up Entering or Exiting you can then put the Time that you require.

Hope this helps.
