I2C decoding with 2203

Post by Tournifreak »

I'm trying to decode an I2C trace but not having much success.
The signal I'm sending is Start - A0 7F 02 - Stop
The device I'm communicating with is responding as expected, but the Picoscope software isn't managing to decode it. Any ideas why?

I'm using a 2203 scope, about 30KHz clock speed, version 5.54 software (although the highest version listed for the 2203 is 4.92. but this does not have the I2C decode feature. Is 5.54 OK with my scope?)

Can anyone help?
Many thanks,
Jon.

Hi Jon,

This does seem a little strange to me as the signal on channel B does not seem to have gaps between transitions. The 2203 should be able to sample quick enough for 30kHz. Can you choose a shorter time base? Also could you send the raw psdata file?

Kind regards
