ADC-12: 100us sampling for 30 secs

Post by Mikeh »

Hi
I have an old ADC-12 and wish to sample a signal at 100us intervals for up to 30 seconds. The original software (which I no longer have) that came with the device had a DOS program called "ADC12.exe" which allowed various parameters to be specified in the command line, including the sampling inteval in us. I've tried downloading various versions of software from the website but they all limit the sampling interval to a minimum of 1ms for long acquisitions, or if Fast Block mode is used for <1ms intervals the total acquisition time is relatively short.
Either:
(a) Is a copy of the original ADC12.exe program still available?
(b) Is it possible to use the latest software versions to perform a 30 second acquisition at 100us intervals, and if so how?

Thanks

Hi in theory this is possible, in practice it isn't this is because it will all your CPU resources and slow your PC down. In the days of DOS this was probably fine but not with modern operating system.

I really would recommend another product like the new USB DrDaq:
