Viewing old ADC-11 data

Post by JackHale »

I've just got a new PC running Windows 7. I need to look at data from a ADC-11 collected on another computer.

I'm installing PicoLog with the InstallShield Wizard, but the list in "Default Device Selection" does not include ADC-11. Can you help please?

Thanks... Jack Hale

Hi that is interesting, choose any other product and the select the tickbox that says "Install for other devices". This will instlal the drivers for every product including he ADC11.

What version of the software was this?

That's odd. I did that and it installed OK (Picolog for Windows Release 5.21.5) but on start up it gives the error message .
Then when I try to load the data file it gives another error message and closesd down.

That is odd, I tried it myself and I don't get this message. Are you still having the problem? If so can you see if an adc1132.dll is available under (by default):

"C:\Program Files\Pico Technology\Pico Full\"

I think we're getting towards a solution. I found folder Pico Technology\Pico Full under Program Files (x86), not under Program Files.
And it contains several .dll files, but not adc1132.dll. Does that suggest a solution?

Is your Windows a 64 bit OS? As the ADC11 is unfortunately not supported on x64.

64 bits it is. So I'll have to find an old computer to do this work on.

Thanks for your help.

I will say though for viewing the data that should be no problem installing the software on a 64 bit machine. So you would have to install the software for another product and then open the file that way.

Not really, the only device I would not use is the DrDaq, any other device will be fine.
