Data logging with Picoscope 4224

Post by HaBu »

I need data logging for an unattended long duration test with the 4224 over several days, but to my surprise the present PicoScope 6 software seems to not support data logging any more and the version 5 PicoLog sw does not recognize the 4000 series USB scope. :(

Is there any possibility to use PicoLog 5 work with the 4224 respectively or anything hint how this problem could be solved?

Regards
HaBu

Hi,

This is true you cannot use Picolog with the 4000, however you can write your own software to record for long periods of time. I will however put your request through to the relevant department.

Kind regards

Hallo Picotech,
I read this problem with the series 4000 and "long time logging" often in this forum.
The answer from you is allwais the same: write your own software .. i am not softie and can not write my own program ....
My Picotech 4424 stand now over one year in the corner ...
I think it's time to make possible the long time logging with the 4000 series ... many people will say thanks to you

Hi at the risk of sounding vague again we will be looking for a solution in 2011. We are working our way through our to do list, but to be honest we have had a few customers ask about this particular feature which is making us re-asses its priority. Sorry for the inconvenience but rest assured we will be addressing as soon as we can.

Kind regards

HaBu, I believe you're wanting to use the scope and log data at the same time? This would be very valuable to me as I detailed at http://www.picotech.com/support/topic5407.html.

Ziko, I would very much like this feature so you can pile my request onto the heap!
