Strange temperature readings with TC-08

Post by Sam Smith »

So I'm running 7 type K TC's into one USB TC-08 (running v5.21.2). After ~24 hours of regular operation, all the TC's started oscillating gently around a central temperature instead of recording the actual temperature increases. I've attached a .jpg of the results.

Is this an issue with the TC-08? The thermocouples? The software? Any ideas?

Running Windows XP Pro SP3

Cheers,

Sam

Sent through the .plw file to support.

To the best of my knowledge the device was not disconnected or disrupted at any time during the ~72hour run.

Cheers,

Sam.

Hi,

I have looked at the attachment , does the TC-08 still work? If it still works it maybe that at some point in the test a voltage was being injected into one of the thermocouples causing all the readings to go a bit funny, if that is the case try disconnecting one by one to find out which one is causing the problem.

Kind regards

It should still work as it was brand new 3 weeks ago.

I'll try disconnecting the TC's one by one to see if that is causing a problem.
