psdata files

Post by TetraUser »

Hi,

We saved our measurement as psdata raw binary files from picoscope but could not export the measurements to CSV or Mat as it should. We could only export a small portion of each buffer. We have several (psdata) files containing around 100curves each. We tried to update the software to the latest version but the problem is still there.

Appreciate if you could help us with this issue.

Just to add on. When we export the current waveform we get 7299 rows of data. When we export all waveforms we get several files containing only 123 rows. Is it a bug or some strange limitations?

Hi,
Some more information has come in about this. It seems that if you export a single screen of data with sin(x)/x interpolation to Matlab or txt/csv, then all is OK. The full number of points are saved (say 7,299 interpolated from 123 raw points). If you ask to "Save all Waveforms" the software tries to just save the original raw points (I assume to save space) but what actually happens is that only the first 109 points of the 7,299 interpolated points are saved! This needs to be fixed.

If you disable interpolation, you can export all waveforms to .csv and get all the raw data points. The .csv files we can load into Matlab without problems.

PeterF.
