PS3000 Examlpes does not run in LabView8.6 (Windows7 64-Bit)

Post by Philipp »

Hello out there,

I tried to run the PicoScope 3205 under LabView. I downloaded the Exmaples and the ps3000.dll and copied them in the same folder.
I can open the fast_stream.vi and the others, but when i try to start the VI, a smal PicoScope window pops up and a green loading bar is going on to the right (seems perfectly right until then), but stops at about a quarter of the whole line. After that, the small window dissapears, the VI is loaded but I don't get any signal, nor is the "Handle OK" light on.

Any Idea, where the mistake could be? As mentioned in the subject, I am using LabView8.6 on Win7 64-Bit machine, if this could be the troublemaker...

I would be very happ if you could help me. Thank you.

Hi

Are you using a 64-bit version of LabVIEW? It is not possible to load a 32-bit dll from a 64-bit process.

Although from what you describe, it sounds like Labview is loading the dll.

Okay, I will try to get a 32-Bit machine and try it on there. If it works or it doesent, I will let you know.

Thanks for your hint!

On a Win7 32-Bit it seems to work. But not 100% sure if this is the only problem. So, if anyone else has this problem, try to use a 32-Bit OS.
