Can you change channel name to a meaningful name?

Post by xyliu »

Is it possible to change channel name from A to something like "Motor Volt"? When you have many tests, it is hard to remember what is channel A, B, C and D. I could not find answer in the usual manual. I have PS 4424 with PS 6.

This seems to be very fundamental in many other scope applications.
I posted this question in another forum without any answer.

Thank you!

Not that I'm aware of. What many of us do is just place that information in the notes section.

Go to Edit | Notes and then place that information in the bottom for easy reference if you decide to pull up that file.

Is there a plan to allow the user to modify channel names? This is highly desirable feature to have. It is very inconvenient to try to write down which channel is what and tedious if you have many data files.

Although you can add a note to the data file, this note will not be written to .csv file after conversion.
