I am interested in the average of channel A low pulse widths. My constraint is that the pulses last in the hundreds of microseconds and I'm interested in running the test overnight (over a period of 12 hours). Are there limitations in your software for logging only the low pulse widths, or are all samples logged.

Hi,

This depends on a number of factors:

1) What device are you using?
2) How often does the pulse occur?

Hi,

I am using the pico 4424.

I can control how often the pulse occurs but not their width, which is why I'm interested in taking the average over time. For the question, let's say every second, there is a pulse.

Hi this is certainly possible if you wrote your own software. Using PicoScope 6 you would not be able to do this for that length of time. If you were to use PicoScope 6 you would choose an appropriate time base, a repeat trigger and increased the waveform buffers to 1000, the you would get up to 1000 buffers.

This will obviously not last 12 hours and as such you would need to write your own software to do this.
