Math analisys

Post by maxsca »

it's possible, with the maths functions, calculate the power (W rms)produced by the measured signal on a known load?

Note: The analysis of CAN is excellent. If you could extend to other serial bus (SPI, I2C,) would be great.

If it is a simple resitive load and a sinewave, you can just make a formula for it.

(A^2*0,707)/R

You will have to add a different formula for other types of waves, and if you have inductive/capasitive loads it will be even more challenging.

Maybe a sticky forum thread for useful formulas would be useful for many people, perhaps as a exported attachment, so it would be easy to import?
