Wrong channel order or missing channel in .csv export

Post by aizoagdt »

In PicoScope 6 Version 6.0.?.?, I saved a number of .csv files.
In 3 of the files the column order was Time, Channel A, Channel B; in the remaining files the order was Time, Channel B, Channel A (note that the file header always said "Channel A, Channel B", but the data in the second column was sometimes the data from channel A, sometimes from channel B and vice versa for the third column).

Then I upgraded to the newest release, 6.2.2.12 hoping that this issue has been fixed. But now the software saves the same data in both columns, and still randomly decides which channel is saved. This means in some files I get two columns of channel A data and no channel B data, and in other files I get two columns of channel B data and no channel A.

This is even more annoying as I can't be sure to get the relevant data at all! Is this a known bug?

Hi aizoagdt,

This is a bug we are aware of and will be resolved on the next release, in fact e think we have solved it. So keep your eyes open for the next release.

Kind regards

So is it possible to get the older 6.0.x.x version with the more convenient bug instead of the inconvenient bug? I uninstalled the older version before upgrading and now can't find the CD that came with the scope.

I now installed the beta release 6.2.4.10, and it seems to be back to the behaviour of 6.0.x.x: Of 6 saved files, one had the wrong column order, but at least in every file both channels were saved so no data was lost.

But this is still not what is to be expected as a fix for this bug.
