Data socket function in Picologger - Labview compatibility?

Post by Z.Bruce »

Hi

I'm fairly new to using Picologger, so this may be a silly question. We've just picked up an ACD24, for use logging loadcells and displacement transducers in rock and soil shear box testing and so far it's been working fine. Currently I'm using picologger only, both on the pc attached directly to the ACD24, and with the datasocket function enabled, via our network.

What I would like to know is whether I can use the data socket VI in Labview to poll data from the PC that is running picologger with datasocket enabled?

Cheers

Zane.

Hi Zane

Unfortunately not, if you use PicoLog as the server, you need to use it as the client too.

If you have Labview on the server PC, then I guess you could set it up as the server and use the Labview socket.
