Over range warning stuck

Post by DC-X »

Hi, we are using a newly purchased 3205. The Channel B over range warning came on but just prior to that the voltage being measured was 4 volt. There may have been a transient higher voltage but we did not see such. We cannot clear this over range warning. Channel B no longer shows a trace from the signal generator. We have tried all apparent options or configurations. Channel A is OK.
We tried two PCs. We downloaded the latest Pico 6 R6.2.2

BTW, we were measuring something that has been previously measured. So no wild voltage spikes were expected nor were they seen in the few pulses monitored before Channel B stopped working.

Is the Picoscope hardware broken?

Hi an thank you for your post.

Yep its most likely damaged. The unit will have to be sent back for repairs. What I would say is email us at support@picotech.com giving a brief description of the problem, the unit you have and serial number and your full return address.

Kind regards
