Serial TC-08 and Linux

Post by simonmce »

I've just got a new computer for monitoring temperatures at this site. For the sake of stability, I want it to run on Linux.

I have installed Fedora 10 as an OS.

Now all i need is for a simple set of instructions as to installing and configuring the driver.

All I want to do is collect the readings from two serial TC-08 dataloggers every 15 minutes into a file (with a date reference) and print it out every day.

Can anybody help?

Thanks.

PS in case you hadn't guessed, my knowledge of computers is limited.

I've downloaded the drivers from the CD that came with the TC-08 and I've tried the drivers from the web. I think it's a question of configuring the drivers, but I don't see what to do to make that happen.
