Reference Spectrum Waveform

Post by Chris Stamford-Burrows »

I am now using BETA r6.2.1.12 and am interested in using a Spectrum analysis file as a reference.

I have used a number of the Spectrum Options to refine the spectrum window, and can save and reproduce the file in Excel.

But if I try to use a refined spectrum analysis as a reference waveform, I can only save the initial 'noisy' analysis.

Is this what is supposed to happen, or does this need to be fixed in this BETA version ??

Chris

What changes did you make to the spectrum options?

Reference Spectrum Waveform

The Spectrum Options I want to use are:-
Spectrum Bins 16384
Window Function Blackmann Harris
Display Mode Average
Scale Logarithmic
Arbitrary dB at 3mV

It may be that spectrum reference will only display 'Magnitidue'.

Hi Chris

The software is behaving as intended. Reference waveforms are snapshots rather than "persistence" waveforms.

The maths functions also only work on non-persistence waveforms.
