Picoscope 4224 Oscilloscope

Post by Guest »

Hi Sirs,

I'm thinking to buy the Picoscope 4224 Oscilloscope.

I'm comparing the 4224 data sheet with the 3204 and I have some questions:

- what is the Spectrum range frequency of the 4224 ?

- the 4224 have 80 MS/s Sampling rate but I suppose that is single shot.
What is the sampling rate ripetitive ?

- with the 4224 there is the XY mode ?

Thanks and regards
Bruno

There spectrum range of the 4000 using our software is 20MHz, the ranges available in our software are as follows:

100Hz, 200Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2kHz, 5kHz, 10kHz, 20kHz, 50kHz, 100kHz, 200kHz, 500kHz, 1MHz, 2MHz, 5MHz, 10MHz, 20MHz

80MS/s is as you pointed out the single shot sample rate, when you say repetitive do you mean ETS? If so then the answer is, there is no ETS for the 4000. Or do you mean streaming? The device has no real limit in terms of streaming on some computers you can get 10MS/s and above. Using our software there is a limit to the streaming mode up 1MS/s.

There is another mode which is called rapid block mode, in this mode the device will sample in single shot mode, however the time delay between the next sample is much smaller than normal, it reduces the gap from milliseconds to about 2.5 microseconds.

Using our latest software you can use XY mode.

Hope this helps.

OK, thanks for explanation.

Just bought the 4224 Oscilloscope at RS Components in Italy.
