PicoScope won't start: Fatal Error

Post by Martin1000 »

PicoScope software won't start anymore on my PC, I'm using 6.13.6 on windows 10. It did work when I installed that version, but no longer. I'm using the 2207A scope, but it doesn't seem to matter if it's plugged in or not.
I tried repairing, re-installing, restarting PC, disabling virusscanner, removing other peripheral instruments, no effect.

Latest changes to the pc is visual c++ redistributable packages from various years, drivers for labelprinter and drivers for siliconlabs virtual comports.

See the attachment for the actual error, how to solve this?

I would suggest repair/re-install the .NET Framework would the first thing to try.

I could not find any older versions on the official website, but I did manage to get my hands on 6.11.12 which is working! I guess I'll just use that then.

Did you try a repair/re-install of the Microsoft .NET framework ?

That did not solve it, same error

.net is part of windows now, I disabled it the 3.5 and 4.7 versions from the "turn windows features on/off", restarted PC, turned them on, restarted PC.
