Picoscope 5000 with Matlab

Post by Guest »

Hi

Our team has recently purchased the PicoScope 5000 and is wondering if there is any interface for communication between PicoScope 5000 with Matlab?

From before, I read in the forum that there are codes out already written to use PicoScope with Matlab? And also from the manual of PicoScope 6 it mentions interface with Matlab?

Any help would be very grateful!!

Thank you very much

Hello Vicky,

The PicoScope 5000 API will fuction with programming languages that support standard C calls. Therefore, in the case of Matlab which does not support standard C calls, you would require the knowledge to write Matlab wrappers for the functions that you wish to use.

You could export the data in .txt or Matlab .mat format using PicoScope 6, and that is what the PicoScope 6 User Manual refers to.

John

I have tried pico6, and it saves trace as MAT v4 file OK,
but there are 32 traces in buffer, when I tried to save all,
it does not save in 32 individual files, nor does it save as a matrix of 32 traces,
is there any updates to the software?
Thanks

Unfortunately you cannot do this in PicoScope 6 and there are no current plans to do so.

Kind regards
