is it possible with the 3424, to log all data over several weeks?
And its also possible to set that it should only logging when a value is higher as X ?
The amount of data you can collect is only limited by your disk space. The maximum size of a data file is 1 million samples, but additional files will be created automatically.
You can use the scope's trigger in PicoLog, so you could start recording once a threshold has been exceeded. However, it wouldn't stop when that threshold is crossed again.
I tried some examples ... but did not find the feature.
On the bottom I can start recording ... I also have the settings when it should start.
But when it starts ... i cant see where it saved on the harddisk ... I can save it manual ... but I think only 1000 Waveforms??
Which software are you using? For long-term logging, you need to use PicoLog. This should be on your CD or you can download the latest version from http://www.picotech.com/download.html
I tried PicoScope 6.
Now I installed PicoLog and have almost. But there is one part:
I can set the Alarm ... but how can I configure that recording starts itself?
With my tests I have always klick manuel on the button ... how can I set that it should start when the Voltage is unter -1,5 V?
Can I use this software for free, when I bought a Pic 4424?
You're right, it is. That is a mistake on the website and I will get it changed. If you bought the 4000 from us and it is not suitable for your application, please email support@picotech.com and we can arrange a refund.
There are no current plans to have the 4000 series in the data logging software, however if you use PicoScope 6 you have the waveform buffers, fairly long time bases and now the time stamp on every waveform buffer. Also if you are clued up on programming you can write your own software to get it do this, we provide simple example in a number of languages and a technical reference manual with a list of all the function calls.
