Triggered Data Aquisition

Post by Mitch »

Pre Sales Q.
Would like to use picoscope 2204 to automatically write one sweep for
each trigger to disk. Trigger rate, once per few minutes, sweep speed
somewhere around 50msps. write both channels to disk automatically on trigger.

Hi Mich,

You may be able to achieve this, however how often do you wish to sample for? As this will depend on how much memory each device has.

Kind regards

The issue would be to get a data sample buffer acquired at 50MSPS to memory. Probably 1000 points would be fine per trigger per channel.
We see interesting triggers about 4 times per hour. So we'd want to save data when triggered for both channels about a hundred X per day.
Storage ~200k words Plus headers...

Hi Mich,

If you use PicoLog recorder and put it and choose "Fast Block Mode" you can then choose your sampling interval and number of points. You can then ask it to trigger on an event (i.e. a threshold point).
