PicoLog Crash on pause

Post by Guest »

I am using an ADC24 to measure millivolts and a TC08 to measure temperature on one instance of PicoLog.

We need to take one set of readings, alter the test setup and take another set of readings. And we need to do this repeatedly. Obviously I don't want to have 50+ different data files, so I'm using the pause function of Picolog to pause when we're altering the test setup and then resume when we want to take a set of readings.

I find that usually within one or two pauses, a number of the readings on the live feed from the converters stop reporting results and give "*****" instead.

Also, after a number more pauses usually, Picolog crashes completely.

We are using the most up to date version of Picolog.

Some help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Malcolm

Hi I have managed to recreate your problem, I have put it in as a bug report. When you say it crashes, do you get an error message or does it simply freeze up?

Thanks for the response.

There is no error message, the software just freezes.
