Picolog Temperature M

Post by Enda Burke »

I have recently installed Picolog R.5.12.3 software into a PC running Windows 2000 Professional, Version 5.0.2194 Service Pack 4 Build 2195. The Picolog records temperatures via two PT104 Converters connected to the PC via two RS-232 serial ports.
The original PC had only one serial port so I added a new PCI card with two RS-232 ports. ('Plug into a brand-new World' PC ADD_ON CARD Version 6.2.)
I have configured the system and all eight temperature probes are recording correctly.
The problem I am experiencing is that when I save the data to a .plw file, (readings are saved once every hour), the PC crashes after two or three readings.
Can anyone tell me why this could be happening.

Hi Enda,

We do not support Windows 2000 anymore, what I can say though is to try and install 5.16.2 which is the latest version that was supported for Windows2000 and other legacy operating systems.

So uninstall this 5.12.0 then download and install 5.16.2

Let me know how you get on.

Kind regards
