New USB DrDAQ units not detected on Linux and macOS

Post by Hitesh »

Hi USB DrDAQ Users,

We are aware of an issue where a USB DrDAQ is not detected on Linux and macOS operating systems when first received.

This is due to an old version of firmware on the device when shipped that causes a problem on the above operating systems which we are in the process of resolving. In the meantime, the solution is connect the USB DrDAQ to a PC running the Windows operating system (sorry!) and run the latest version of the PicoScope 6/PicoLog 6 software with it (once will be fine).

Once this has been undertaken, you can then connect the device to your Linux and macOS operating and start to use the PicoLog 6, PicoScope 6, or driver API functions (if writing your own application).

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We hope to resolve this as soon as possible. Please post any questions here or e-mail support@picotech.com and we will look to assist you further.

Regards,
