Gaps between Buffers

Post by Marcus G »

I am using a Picoscope 2205A MSO, and I am inspecting the dwell times between pulses being sent to a stepper motor controller (using the digital inputs). After reviewing my capture, I notice that there seem to be gaps between buffers where no data is captured, which is noticeable because the dwell times are changing continuously within each buffer but jump abruptly between each buffer.

Are there parameters that I could tune so that this "buffer gap" is smaller, or alternatively, so that more data is captured per buffer so the error introduced by each gap is smaller?

Thanks!

What will be possible will depend upon your collection settings, to assist it would be helpful to send a psdata file showing how you currently have the unit setup, and the data you are currently seeing. You may need to send this directly to support@picotech.com due to file size restrictions on the forum.
