microprocessor power measurements

Post by Guest »

Hello --

I am trying to get measurements of microprocessor power. My current plan is to identify the 12V power line feeding the microprocessor and log its current voltage using a clamp-on ammeter and general-purpose digital multimeter. I would like tools capable of measurements down to 100mA and sampling frequencies in the 10KHz range.

Would you have any suggestions on either the approach or the sort of tools I should use? I'd appreciate any recommendations.

Thanks

Hi

Have a look at our PP218 Current clamp, which can measure currents down to 10 mA (http://accessories.picotech.com/current_clamps.html).

It sounds as though the entry-level 2000 scopes (http://www.picotech.com/picoscope2200-s ... tions.html) would be suitable for your application.

Hope this helps
