Picoscope reporting incorrect vendor id

Hello,

My Picoscope 2203 is reporting a vendor id of 0c01 when I connect it to a win xp PC instead of Pico's vendor id oce9. This prevents me from installing the device. I attempted to modify the picopp.inf, replacing the vid where necessary and was able to get the driver to install (making the device show up in the windows device manager), however, the picoscope 6 application is not able to locate the device. Help!
