PS5244B with Only One Channel enabled

Post by Mirko_CLTD »

As per PicoScope 5000 Series A API Programmer's Guide stated in Section 3.5 Timebases (page 21), fastest timebases have only one channel enabled.
Does that mean the other channel is completely disabled - can't be used for triggering?
My set-up is sampling on Channel 1 and using Channel 2 for trigger only (variable threshold and sometimes measure signal at lower sampling rates, so I can't use EXT input).
Thank you.

Hi

To use the fastest timebase all but one channel must be disabled so they don't measure any signals at all so can't be used for triggering. If you needed to collect data from one channel and trigger from another you would need to use the a slower timebase.
