CAN communication decoding question

Post by claritydnb »

I am new to this topic. I am using a PicoScope 2000 series and am looking to sniff out some information being sent over the CAN network. The software is great for this, however, All of the messages i am seeing contain what is called "Stuffed Bits." What does it mean by stuffed bit? Thank you for your time regarding this matter.

this are bits in opposite direction inserted in the data stream if 5 or more consecutive bits are to be send.
This is done to keep internal timing in sync and to force a message resend by one of the nodes.
