Corrupted .plw file

Post by mpoprawski »

I was recording data when power went down and the computer switched off. After restart I've realized that data in .plw file is corrupted and cannot be displayed. Does anybody know what to do to recover or fix corrupted file?
Data logger: TC-08 (USB), WIN XP.

corrupted file lives here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/51821494/07%20 ... rupted.plw

Thanks,

Maciej

Hi Maciej,

Do you have a good data log file that was created with the same settings?

Alternatively, providing you have not changed any settings you can save the settings file from within PicoLog Recorder by clicking File -> Save as... and choosing 'Settings files (*.pls)' and saving the file.

For 99% the following file has the same settings:

Hope it helps.

Is there any chance to recover that file? Or any information about the format of .plw files?
Cheers,

Hi tastic,

If you have a corrupted plw file, please e-mail support@picotech.com with the corrupted file and a known good plw data file.

Depending on the device you are using, you may wish to consider using the PicoLog 6 software as this has a relatively better method of capturing data:
