I am using a PS3204 on a Dell 3.0GHz Dual core computer with 2GB of RAM, XP windows, to operate PicoLog with 1.5625MHz sampling rate, and number of samples per file is 256000. This make the file duration is 164ms. My run lasts for 48 seconds, which means I should have 292 files. But it is giving me 103 file only. I am losing a huge amount of data. I am using the following setting;
Recording method: Fast Block
Action at the end of run: repeat immediately
Please, can any one provide a solution ASAP? One more thing, does the picolog operate on Linux system? and if yes where can I find the drives?

I spoke to you on the phone today, as I mentioned in fast block mode and using repeat immediately you will get gaps between each of the blocks. As I said the 3224 and 3424 could do what you are looking for if you write your own software.
Hope this helps.

Hi Ziko
Thank you for your replay. Since these gapes are unavoidable. Can you please specify their duration, and do they occur in a regular bases or it is randomly. Will you provide technical details about this matter, please? This is really crucial for my master thesis. Thanks again for your help

This depends on the sampling rate that you are looking for. If say it is 1KS/s then you can use PicoLog Recorder no problem, you can use streaming mode.
If you wanted higher samlping rates you can also use Fast Block mode in PicoLog recorder this will capture all the data into buffer memory of the device, so for a timebase of 102us (approx 9.8KS/s) will take 52 seconds.
Please refer to our manual for more information, section 1.3
