Bit resolution enhancement causes program error in ver. 6

Post by Guest »

I have the Picoscope 2105 and am running the latest ver. 6 of the Picoscope software. When trying to save a current waveform, I get an application error, and the program terminates. The error occures when bit resolution enhancement is used.

Hi I have tried to recreate the problem without any success, could you tell me what the exact settings where and actions you took for this to occur:

Time base
Voltage range
Enhanced Res chosen
Triggering

and so on.

Kind regards

One other thing to add, if you could send the settings file, i.e. before you take the action that causes the error choose file -> save current waveform as (choose Save as Type to be Settings files (*.pssettings))

Also could you send the error report as well.

Kind regards

Hi Ziko,

All settings are initially set to default. The timebase setting is then set to 200 ms/div. (or higher), the maximum number of bits is set to 8.5 (or higher) and the trigger mode is set to single. Noise picked up by the probe tip triggers a sweep. Under the File tab I then click "Save Current Waveform As", and then enter a file name. The file extension is *.psdata. I then get an Application Error message, and Picoscope terminates. The error is repeatable.
