PicoScope 6000E: An Overview

Our PicoScope 6000E Series oscilloscopes are the highest performance range of PC Oscilloscopes on the market, providing 6 instruments in one.

The PicoScope 6000E Series fixed-resolution and FlexRes mixed-signal oscilloscopes provide 8 to 12 bits of vertical resolution, with up to 1 GHz bandwidth and 5 GS/s sampling rate.

Models with four or eight analog channels have the timing and amplitude resolution you need to reveal critical signal integrity issues such as timing errors, glitches, dropouts, crosstalk and metastability issues. In addition, PicoScope 6000E Series is compatible with our 30+ serial protocols.

In our new video, James Mackey offers an overview of the PicoScope 6000E Series’ wide range of features and capabilities. You can check it out below, or take a look at the 6000E Series product page on our website.

NMEA-0183 and SENT SPC serial bus decoding

Two new serial protocols are now available for free in PicoScope 7. Find out more below:
NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) 0183 is a UART-based protocol that has been in use since 1983. Originally developed for marine applications, it can now be found in other varying applications such as GPS devices.

In our new A to Z entry, we outline how to use the NMEA-0183 decoder in
PicoScope 7. Check it out on our website.

SENT SPC (single edge nibble transmission short PWM code) is a half-duplex variation of the SENT protocol defined by Infineon Technologies AG. It is an extension of the SAE J2716 SENT protocol that allows on-demand transmission of a single SENT frame by a sensor in the event a controller initiates the transfer of data by sending a master trigger pulse (MTP).

As above, you can check out our new
A to Z entry, outlining how to use the SENT SPC decoder in PicoScope 7.

PicoScope 7: Tech Tips!

In PicoScope 7, you can change the hierarchy of the displayed waveforms by clicking the vertical axis in the waveform viewer. In the above example, we have 2 signals and signal D (yellow sine wave) is hidden behind signal A (blue, noise induced sine wave). To bring B to the front, click the D vertical axis on the right.*

You can download PicoScope 7 for free from our website.
