Coming soon: PicoScope 6428E-D Oscilloscope

We are delighted to introduce to you the PicoScope 6428E-D Oscilloscope, a high-performance solution for precision measurements. The digitizer extends the analog bandwidth of the PicoScope 6000E Series to 3 GHz. Featuring four ranges between ±50 mV and ±500 mV, it seamlessly integrates into various systems requiring 50 Ω measurements. When paired with a 10:1 active or passive probe, its capabilities are further enhanced. It is the ideal solution for continuous measurements in systems where space and cost considerations are paramount.

The PicoScope 6428E-D Oscilloscope will be available soon. In the meantime, you can register your interest by completing the form at the link below.

Four Powerful New Features in PicoScope 7

In our recent stable launch, we have added four powerful new features to our
PicoScope 7 software. The new features are designed to empower engineers who are debugging, characterizing, and verifying the operational reliability of their complex electronic and automotive designs. This release includes:

Rise and Fall Time Triggering: Rise and fall time triggering allow users to capture and analyze signals based on their transition times, specifically the time it takes for a signal to change from a certain voltage level to another. It can be set to trigger on a rising or a falling edge.
Measurements Logging: PicoScope 7 now facilitates the logging of automatic oscilloscope measurements directly to a CSV file on the host computer. This feature enables engineers to test their designs over extended durations and view the impact of variables such as supply voltage range, clock frequency stability, temperature drift and others over time.
Measurement Limits and Actions: Measurements Actions build on the standard automated measurement system by enabling the result of any measurement to be automatically tested against an upper or lower measurement limit defined by the user. An Action, also defined by the user, can be programmed to execute on violation of the test.
PSI5 Decoder: PSI5 is a widely-used protocol in automotive sensor applications, and its addition to the toolset expands the capabilities of engineers working on automotive electronic systems. This enhancement allows for seamless decoding and analysis of PSI5 data, allowing users to optimize sensor performance and reliability.

To find out more about these new features, you can read the official press release, or download PicoScope 7 for free on our website.

PicoVNA 5 SDK Code Examples now on GitHub!

The extensive code examples within the PicoVNA 5 Software Development Kit (SDK) are now easily accessible via GitHub. Whether you’re looking to programmatically control the PicoVNA instrument, or harness the power of the PicoVNA 5 software in your own application, the code examples are a great resource to help you get started.

Versatile but easy to use, the PicoVNA 5 SDK enables full programmatic control of the PicoVNA 5 application via SCPI, or direct control of the PicoVNA instrument via the rich APIs. Using the SDK, you can easily integrate the PicoVNA instrument into any automated test harness, or take advantage of low-level access to the instrument’s functionality in your latest research application.

The cross-platform SDK comes with support for Windows, macOS, Linux and Raspberry Pi 4/5. A freely-available demonstration mode enables you to try out the full functionality of the SDK (and develop your new application) offline, without direct access to a PicoVNA instrument.
