PicoLog 6 Beta

Please read everything below before downloading PicoLog 6 Beta. Download links are at the bottom of this page.

  • This is an early beta release so it is likely to contain bugs and have missing features
  • PicoLog 6 has been designed from the ground up to recover from crashes and device reboots without data loss but you should not rely on any of its output at this early stage
  • The new improved PicoLog 6 file format (.picolog) is compatible across operating systems but is not backwards compatible with the previous format (.PLW) or PicoLog 5
  • This is version PicoLog 6.0.13-beta3. Many features have been added since the last beta release including:
    • Math channels
    • Custom channel scaling via equation or lookup table
    • Saving config files
    • Keyboard navigation
  • We currently support the following devices:
    • USB TC-08*
    • PT-104
    • PicoLog CM3

* Note : TC-08s sold prior to 2008 are only supported in the Windows version. They can not be used with macOS or Linux

PicoLog 6 supports Windows 7, 8 and 10, 64-bit editions only.

PicoLog 6 for Linux is distributed as an AppImage which should work on any modern desktop Linux distribution.

It has been tested working on:

  • Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
  • OpenSUSE 42.2 Leap
  • RHEL7

This is a 64bit release. If you require 32bit support please contact us. After downloading an AppImage, you will need to make it executable before running it.

Do not run PicoLog 6 with root permissions as you may encounter issues and you may not be able to run as non-root later.

If PicoLog 6 detects any issues with USB permissions at startup, it will offer to apply fixes. If you prefer, you can execute the commands manually.
