Which scope to get?

Postby Guest » Wed May 05, 2010 9:27 am

Hi!

I'm more or less new to scopes and am trying to capture/analyze (digital) ISDN (BRI/PRI) signals. Those signals have a data-rate of 192kbit/sec (BRI) or 2048kbit/sec (PRI).
I want to be able to capture those signals (as waveforms) for at least 5 (better 10) seconds.
In a second stage, I might try to capture a different (digital) signal operating at 8MHz - but that would only be a nice addon.

Hi There,

Thankyou for your inquiry with regard to capture/analyze (digital) ISDN (BRI/PRI) signals.

In theory you could could use two channels at use the maths functionality to obtain the differential measurements.

In order to assist you further please could you proceed to the following application note which will assist you in choosing the correct scope for your application.
