Capturing single shot 80 pSec asynchranous events on 9201A

Postby Mikhail » Fri Apr 02, 2010 11:03 pm

Any advice on capturing 80 pSec single shot asynchronous event/impulse noise?

I have no apriori knowledge, nor do I have access to external correlated signals that can be used as an external trigger..

Thank you,

Mikhail

Hi,
The 9201A is a sampling oscilloscope and will not be able to capture any impulse signals. It can only resolve repetitive signals averaging over many samples. It is mainly used for mask testing of data streams.
