Hi well it depends really on how fast your signals are really! If you are measuring a digital signal you need an oscilloscope with an analogue bandwidth that is perhaps at least 3 times greater than the speed of the signal you are measuring so as to get the fast times of the of the square wave, then you need a sample rate high enough to be able to to view the signal in its full glory (at least 10 times faster for square waves) You may also want to consider the memory as well, memory affords you fast sampling over longer periods of time. Resolution is not an important factor if you are looking at square waves.
So it really depends on what the fastest signal you want to measures is an for how long!
