PT100 to measure a water temperature

Postby Guest » Mon Mar 10, 2008 7:38 pm

Hello,

I would like to measure the temperature of water flowing through a pipe and I am considering using a PT100 to do so.
Is it enough if the tip (1 cm) of the probe is in the water or do I have to immerse the full metallic probe to get a correct temperature reading?

Which Pico PT100 probes are water resistant?

Thank you in advance,

Nicolas
