output signal when triggering

Post by Esra »

Hello,

I am trying to use the USB DrDAQ Data Logger as a light barrier. If the light sensor measures a specific value (triggerd), I want it to give an output signal to a external signal generator. So this output signal should serve as a trigger.
But I haven´t been able to figure out, how to give this output signal, when the light sensor is triggerd.
Is this even possible?

Greetings,

Hello Esra,

Trigger of the digital outputs is not supported.

However, it is possible to use the Alarms feature (Tools -> Alarms) to set the digital output on an event such as a waveform capture. Please note that once the capture of the waveform is complete, the digital output will be set, and once it has been set to the new state it will remain there unless you change the setting in the software.

You can find information on Alarms via the following video:

If you were to write your own software application, you could set the digital output when the device has indicated that it has captured data.

I hope this helps.
